We organised a STEM day at our school, with three classes of 8 graders.
• Weather: What is weather? What is meteorology? Who is a meteorologist?
• Nature conservancy – air.
• Weather forecast.
We used our school weather station as the tool for measurements. The students were divided into 3 working groups:
Group 1, mentor Maja Šivak. Weather: What is weather? What is meteorology? Who is a meteorologist?
Group 2, mentor Andreja Janša. Nature conservancy: air. The sources of pollution are of 2 kinds: temporary and permanent. The students observed the direction of the wind for the past week and how the school is affected/polluted by the nearby motorway.
